These options let you decide how you would like your blinds to bunch when they are not drawn, “Center Split” allows the blinds to evenly distribute to both sides.

Vertical Blinds – Fit Type

Choose this option if your blinds will be fitted within the window recess. To get the perfect fit, measure both the width and drop in three different spots, then give us the smallest measurement from each. We’ll take 10mm off the width to ensure your blind operates smoothly once mounted inside the brackets.

Select this option when your blinds will sit outside the window recess. You can decide how far you’d like them to extend past the window frame. Measure the full width and drop in three places and send us the smallest of each. For the best coverage and minimal light seepage, we suggest adding around 7.5cm to each side, as well as the top and bottom.

How to Measure Your Glass (Quick & Easy)

Use a metal tape measure – it’s more accurate.
Measure just the visible glass, not the rubber seal or beading around it.
Take 3 measurements for both the width and the drop (top, middle, bottom for width — left, middle, right for drop).
Write down the smallest measurement for each — that’s the one to use.

Example:
If your width measurements are 840mm, 838mm, and 839mm → use 838mm.

Perfect Fit Shutters – Handle Position

How to Measure for Handle Position (Made Easy)

Measuring for your handle position is simple — just follow these quick steps:

Open the handle fully so it’s at a 90° angle. This is important, as we’re measuring to where the handle actually sits when it’s open — not the base plate.
If your handle is at the bottom of the window:
Measure from the left edge of the visible glass to the center of the handle itself (while it’s fully open).
If your handle is on the left or right side of the window:
Measure from the bottom edge of the visible glass to the center of the open handle.

Tip: Don’t measure to the base plate. The goal is to position the rebate cut-out correctly so the open handle can rotate freely — that’s why we measure to the center of the handle when it’s open.

Bracket Size

Perfect Fit Shutters are not suitable for square-edged window or door frames. They can only be installed on uPVC windows and doors with internal rubber beading.

To check suitability, measure the bead depth—this is the distance from the glass to the outer edge of the window frame. This measurement must fall between 18mm and 30mm.

Bracket sizes are available in even numbers only: 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, 24mm, 26mm, 28mm, and 30mm.

If your measurement falls between sizes, always round down.
(e.g. 21mm = 20mm bracket, 23mm = 22mm bracket.)

Bead depth is critical.
Ordering the wrong bracket size may cause the shutter to appear too large or too small — when in fact, the issue is with the bracket, not the shutter itself.
For example, if you need a 20mm bracket but choose 22mm instead, there will be an extra 4mm gap between the top and bottom brackets, making the shutter look undersized.

If your bead depth is less than 18mm or more than 30mm, this product is not suitable for your windows or doors.

Measurement Protection Guarantee

Mistakes happen — that’s why we offer our Emerald Blind Measurement Protection to give you peace of mind when ordering.

What It Covers

If you’ve provided incorrect measurements, we’ll remake your blind or curtain free of charge for the remake itself — as long as the product remains in the same price bracket.
If your corrected measurements push the item into a higher size or price range, you’ll just need to pay the difference in cost. There’s no refund if the remake would cost less than your original order.

How It Works

You receive a free size remake of the same product with your corrected measurements.
The style, fabric, and options must remain exactly the same as the original order.
If the new size results in a higher cost (e.g. due to wider width or longer drop), the extra amount is payable before production begins.
If the new size would cost less than what you originally paid, no refund will be given.

Important Conditions

You must notify us of the updated measurements within 10 working days of receiving your order.
The original item must be returned in its original packaging. If packaging is damaged or missing, we may cancel the guarantee and no remake will be issued.
If the new size is smaller than the original, and adjustments are possible, we may alter the product rather than remake it from scratch.
Delivery charges for the replacement will still apply.
This guarantee covers one remake per item only — further changes will not be covered.

What's Not Covered

Orders where Measurement Protection wasn’t selected at checkout.
Changes to product style, fabric, colour, or configuration — it strictly covers size mistakes.
Requests made after 10 working days from delivery.
Items returned in poor or damaged condition.

If Your Product Is Out Of Stock

If the item is unavailable at the time of your remake request:
- You can choose to wait for it to come back into stock, or
- Request a refund of the protection fee. (No refund will be given for the original item.)
